The island shines brighter on film: where to buy and develop film

Of course, as the island looks great on both an iPhone and digital cameras. However, the film uniquely colors Cyprus in exciting tones.

Perhaps my main and conscious ‘film’ phase happened here. It was not a phase, Mom!

Almost all year round in Cyprus, there is enough light for low ISO films – 200 and below.

The store is called Three Sitting Birds (Τρία Πουλάκια Κάθονταν). It is run by Irene Stylianou, a true enthusiast.

A large stock always ships very quickly—the store offers new films and cameras. The prices are also incredibly low, especially considering how expensive this hobby can be.

The offline shop is located in Larnaca.

The best store in Limassol

Photo Matik (ΦΟΤΟ ΜΑΤΙΚ) is a store located on Anexartesias Street in Limassol. It is run by Evangelos, a true professional with many years of experience in the industry. He always has something in stock at good prices, is happy to have a small talk, and offers film development services.

Where to buy film cameras

For the used cameras locally, explore online Bazaraki and Facebook Marketplace, and try your luck at second-hand shops (Thecollective in Nicosia particularly).

For used cameras internationally check Etsy, Ebay, Kamera Store, etc.

For new cameras, visit Three Sitting Birds (online and offline).

For new cameras internationally, I recommend Amazon.de, Analogue Wonderland (UK), and any other shops that ship to Cyprus at reasonable prices.

The only place I know where I can fix old cameras in Cyprus is Camera Clinic – they saved my Olympus OM-1 once.
